First I'll define what meditation is. It's a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness either to realize some benefit or and as end in itself. Meditation includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy or life force, and develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness. Meditation may involve generating an emotional state for the purpose of analyzing that state — such as anger, hatred, etc. — or cultivating particular mental response to various phenomena such as compassion.
First find a quiet place where no one can interrupt. Shut all phone ringers off, make sure no pets will bother you, or children. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and hold it for a second and breathe out all the air. Try to clear your mind. Let all thoughts drift away. Do this from anywhere from 5 min to an hour daily. Best time to meditate is when you wake up in the morning. The more you practice meditating the easier it will be. If its hard to find a quiet place, use headphones and put on your favorite meditation music. Many people follow guided meditation so they can quiet down their mind. Many people benefit from meditating with crystals. Crystals help bring you to a meditative state quicker. It helps you to relax and will bring you to a peaceful state of being.
